The drama lessons were much better this week as the missing member of last was then present.
To start off, we again did warming up exercises and fun games to get the drama started. Afterwards we discussed what we did last week etc. Then did our scenes again. However we also had a new member join our group, Connor. We had to perform to them to show them what was going on, what the scenes were and how they could fit in. Georgee became a police lady among me and Tia and Connor became a kidnapper among Shakeel and Suleman. This was more co-operating than last week and we did a lot more work. I did endure and injury to my knee halfway through the two lessons as a chair got kicked into my knee at force which hurt a lot, however i did not stop working, this also shows me that spacial awareness is important as injury can be a result, as i experienced. We sorted a lot and completed the third scene where we capture the suspects and take them to prison and Shakeel who acts as a 'Kidnapper' captures Suleman ('Kidnapper') out of prison as the prison guard is asleep. The way he breaks in is though the hole in the wall. This weeks lesson was more interesting and we also got to see other performances too.

Tuesday 30th November Lesson.
Hello Miss Williams.
This is the blog i am now going to be updating for our Drama lessons as proof. :) It is much easier and better for me.
Tuesday 30th November 2010.
The drama lessons were okay that week.
At the start of the lesson we did warmups and exercises which were fun as a group. We then talked about what was going to happen that lesson. In the lesson we were to work on our Di-versed Performances as a group, the theme of ours was 'Kidnapping' because as a class the overall subject was 'Crime'. We worked on scenes one and two between the two lessons. We hardly got any work done in the first part before break time because the members of my group were messing about awfully a lot and i could not control them, or get them to work as a group should i say. In the end we did do part of scene one and before break time we performed it, as organized as we could. It went okay, we used a ''Explorative Strategy'' in the performance which was split stage, the split stage gives the effect of two different scenes in one area, where two things can be going on but in different places, at the same time.
After break time we went straight to work on our next scene. Which worked well, and was very funny because of the humour of the male members in my group. We performed them and we got good feedback however, a lot of tips and improvements for next time, the improvements were to use more space and controll voice projection, also there were backs faced to the audience so we also watched the positions whilst acting. We did have a missing member of our group that day, Georgee, because of illness.
